FORESTS´ FUTURE 2021 was conducted as an on-line workshop, where the current and foreseen calamity consequences for forestry sector on the base of experiences from individual countries and institutions in Central Europe were presented and discussed.
Following Workshop sessions were held:
- Current and foreseen bark beetle infestation in European countries
- Ecology of clear-cuts and environmental risks
- Forest regeneration – reproductive material and silviculture approaches
- Economic and political consequences
MENDELU presented the project FORRISK within Session 3 and BOKU as Lead Partner provided inputs to economic and forest policy issues within Session 4.
